Villa Fidji

Located by the sea in Cap d’Antibes, Villa Fidji is a neo-Provencal style villa that has been completely redesigned and renovated from the ground up. The transformed property has a resolutely contemporary style warmed the architectural codes of the Mediterranean. Rising from its base of stones from old terraces now stands a box of raw concrete, protected by a green roof terrace that has replaced the tiles.

Careful attention was paid to using raw materials that showcase local French craftsmanship, as part of the project’s sustainable and authentic approach.

Inside, these same materials appear as part of a palette that offers a range of creative and refined possibilities for custom-designed and harmonious architecture. In every corner, you will find an unexpected detail, such as the sculptural fireplace with a marble hearth and cape in bronze metallized pine, which discreetly conceals storage, television, and technical equipment. The spaces have been designed in an open-plan way, framing the views across the garden to the sea.

The use of monolithic forms, which are both light and imposing, give a refined look and a sense of understated luxury throughout. This project is one of the most representative of critical Mediterranean regionalism as we have sought to build on the architectural heritage of the region by integrating contemporary techniques and using a local workforce.
